Directions on how to take |

Diflucan comes as a tablet and liquid to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. To clear up your infection completely, continue taking this medicine for the full course of treatment even if you feel better in a few days. Do not miss any doses. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once. |

Warnings and Precautions |
| |
Do not take this medicine if you are also taking amphotericin b, astemizole, cisapride, pimozide, or terfenadine. Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking anticoagulants, buspirone, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, or medicine for seizures, anxiety, or sleep. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine. If you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. This medicine is excreted in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking this medicine. |

Possible Side Effects |
| |
If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Diflucan and seek medical attention: allergic reaction (difficulty in breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives); liver damage (pale stools, yellowing of the skin or eyes, abdominal pain, unusual fatigue, or dark urine); or a rash. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. |

Storage |
| |
Store tablets below 86°F (30°C). Protect from freezing. Diflucan injections in Viaflex Plus plastic containers are available in both sodium chloride and dextrose diluents. Store between 77°F (25°C) and 41°F (5°C). Brief exposure up to 104°F (40°C) does not adversely affect the product. Protect from freezing. |

Additional Information |

Avoid alcohol or use it in moderation while taking Diflucan. Alcohol and Diflucan can both affect the liver. Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. |
