Voltaren is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Voltaren may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide. |

How Taken |

Use Voltaren as directed by your doctor.
* Take Voltaren by mouth with or without food.

Drug Class and Mechanism |

Voltaren is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Voltaren works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. |

Missed Dose |
| |
If you miss a dose of Voltaren, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once. |

Storage |
| |
Store Voltaren at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) in a tightly closed container. Brief periods at temperatures of 59 to 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) are permitted. Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Voltaren out of the reach of children and away from pets. |
